WHEN THINGS GO WRONG – AND THEY WILL, WHAT TO DO?!

“My friends scorn me, but I pour out my tears to God.”

Suggested Reading Job 15-17

It’s inevitable. Something will go wrong. Plans go awry. Expectations too high or disappointments overwhelm.

Well, God how could this happen to me???

That fellow Job – he had A LOT go terribly, terribly wrong. I confess, I don’t know of anyone who ever had it as bad as Job did. And yet, one thing remained – his absolute faith in the FAITHFULNESS of God!!!

Sometimes we can’t find the words to pray. I’ve found that praying the scriptures comforts, and lifts my spirit; and strengthens me. And as I continue to pray the Scriptures, I move from feeling depressed, down-trodden, beaten and victimized, to feeling like the victorious, child of God I am. Then that feeling rests in the re-affirmation and knowledge, not just a feeling, but knowledge that I am a child of the King, the one true God, the Lord of Lords, and by Him and through Him , ‘no weapon formed against me shall prosper” (Isaiah 54:17)!!!

Praying the Scriptures – it’s a wonderful thing!

Prayer:
Heavenly Father, You are always there for me, even when I can’t see Your hand, and everything is going wrong – I WILL praise You! Thank You for the comfort, peace and joy You give when I am facing battles in my life. Thank You for catching my tears. “You keep track of all my sorrows. You have collected all my tears in your bottle. You have recorded each one in your book. My enemies will retreat when I call to you for help. This I know: God is on my side! I praise God for what he has promised; yes, I praise the Lord for what he has promised. I trust in God, so why should I be afraid? What can mere mortals do to me? (Psalm 56:8-11)
God, I trust You today! In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
