LOVE ONE ANOTHER

Those of us who are “on a roll” – walking in victory after victory – tend to be hard on those who are going through period(s) of failure. It’s easy to forget that our Lord Jesus has set us the example to follow. I am reminded of the following event that our heavenly Father has in His wisdom, seen fit to record for us.

Luke 22:31-34 (NRSV) [31] “Simon, Simon, listen! Satan has demanded * to sift all of you like wheat, [32] but I have prayed for you that your own faith may not fail; and you, when once you have turned back, strengthen your brothers.” [33] And he said to him, “Lord, I am ready to go with you to prison and to death!” [34] Jesus * said, “I tell you, Peter, the cock will not crow this day, until you have denied three times that you know me.”

Rom 14:1 (CJB) 1 Now as for a person whose trust is weak, welcome him—but not to get into arguments over opinions.

Isa 42:3 (CJB) 3 He will not snap off a broken reed or snuff out a smoldering wick. He will bring forth justice according to truth;

If believers are instructed to welcome those whose faith is weak, it follows that God has also already welcomed them. So if your faith is weak do not be discouraged. I implore us – do no give up on those whose faith/trust is weak.
