Oftentimes sin can make us feel like Judas. However, if we give into this feeling of hopelessness, then Jesus’s death would have been in vain.

We are not perfect, God knew that, hence the reason why Jesus came. Some may say the Jews killed him, others may say the Romans, but I would be presumptuous enough to say His Father did. His Father saw the mire that his ‘other children’ were sunk so deep in, and knew it would take His only unblemished son to redeem mankind. So He stretched Him on the cross for you and I. Please don’t let Jesus’s death be in vain. Forgive yourself! If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. If we claim we have not sinned, we make him out to be a liar and his word is not in us.

(Exerpt from Marcia Ellis’ devotional mail).

“Faith in Failure” There is faith in failure. In 2 Samuel 12:1-7, David was confronted and rebuked by Nathan the prophet because he had caused the death of Uriah in order to get his wife, even though The Lord had blessed him tremendously and he could have had all the single women he wanted. David […]

[5
